Pluto’s process echoes the myth of descent – a period of despair in a place of darkness followed by a return to life, conscious that one has been irrevocably changed. He offers an image of both tyrant and victim, healer and destroyer. We will explore different facets and stories of the dark god, and the geography of the underworld, bearing witness to the experience of Pluto both natally as part of the archetype of the shadow, and by transit as passages of grief and loss, renewal and resurrection.
