Mesopotamian Lunar Latitude
In ancient Mesopotamia, the movement of the planets and luminaries was likened to “heavenly writing,” messages from the gods scrawled across the evening skies. As such, the moon, the nearest and most dynamic of the celestial heralds, was essential to delineate. Join me in examining the critical junctures in the moon’s journey, how this ancient framework underlies the Western views on the moon’s nodes, and how we can bring this information into a modern consultation.

Charts of Conflict – Field Battles and Castle Besiegement
There were two types of conflicts in medieval astrology, that of a field battle, where two opposing forces meet on a relatively level playing field, and that of a castle besiegement, where one party held the high ground. To decide the outcome of such conflicts, in the thirteenth century Guido Bonatti developed a precise set of techniques. This lecture places this work into the modern setting of modern sporting events, or any chart of conflict. NOTE: I have uploaded a draft version of my Power Point for you all to download before hand and thus have it to make notes on as I go through the points.

What do the Terms 'Malefic' and 'Benefic' Mean? What Do They Come From?
In both traditional Eastern and Western forms of astrology there are planets, houses and aspects that have been classified as "Good" or Benefic, and "Bad" or Malefic. Modern astrologers dispute this concept, and rightly so. What has been lacking is an explanation for why this classification has arisen. It takes more than good intentions to change these symbols from one to the other. This lecture discusses the causes of and solutions to the Malefic-Benefic polarization.

In this lecture, we will explore almutens and how to integrate them into your astrological practice to achieve surprisingly accurate results.
