From Ancient India and the Greek speaking Hellenistic Empire arose the practice of horoscopic astrology. We will review the transmission and development of astrological ideas between these two cultures. Did I say two? There were Greek colonies in India rapidly assimilating into traditional Indian culture, at the same time horoscopic astrology was finding a footing in both worlds. We will examine some of the latest research into how these two great cultures influenced each other. Pssst! Can you keep a secret? Don't tell the history track leaders...but... I will be sneaking in a SPECIAL BONUS! EIGHT APHORISMS OF PRACTICAL ASTROLOGY! (from the YavanaJataka). THE unanounced pre-show will start at 4:20pm and will cover a history of alphabets and the Pentagram.
