From Ancient India and the Greek speaking Hellenistic Empire arose the practice of horoscopic astrology. We will review the transmission and development of astrological ideas between these two cultures. Did I say two? There were Greek colonies in India rapidly assimilating into traditional Indian culture, at the same time horoscopic astrology was finding a footing in both worlds. We will examine some of the latest research into how these two great cultures influenced each other.
